w44nty Posted August 24, 2010 Share Posted August 24, 2010 In 1969 my wage was £22 per week,in 1970 when I started with the PO it was £21 per week,in 1977 it rose to the grand sum of £44 per week,I remember it well as it was the year I got married £44 bought a lot in those days.
