wayneakp
Hiya Has anyone got TAMD41A's fitted that thay would not mind me having a look at. The "stop solenoids" that control a butterfly in the exhaust elbow have been removed from my engines (as I understand is often the case) and I wish to re-instate them. Problem is some are the parts are no longer in production - I can make them if I can get some dimensions. Thanks in advance Wayne
Antares_9
Can't help with the peek at a motor Wayne, but, I think that whilst the solenoid is not available as a single item is still available as part of the complete kit, VP # 3826743, cost you about £600 for a pair though
wayneakp
Thanks for the reply - I have been quoted 157.00 each which includes an adaptor for the cable assy - it's mainly the lever that connects the rod to the butterfly valve spindle I am having problem with. I may make up a locking plate for the time being to hold the valve fully open - at the moment apart from a little friction on the seals there is nothing holding it in a fixed postion so it is free to do what it likes Apparently the valve was an attempt to reduce the smoke on these engines at low revs. I guess i could always put up with the smoke, or go faster rgds Wayne
MY littleboat
Go faster. Sounds like the best bet

Guest
With that lovely long keel run on one engine at higher revs.
