TAMD41A

Recommended Posts

Hiya

Has anyone got TAMD41A's fitted that thay would not mind me having a look at. The "stop solenoids" that control a butterfly in the exhaust elbow have been removed from my engines (as I understand is often the case) and I wish to re-instate them. Problem is some are the parts are no longer in production - I can make them if I can get some dimensions.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply - I have been quoted 157.00 each which includes an adaptor for the cable assy - it's mainly the lever that connects the rod to the butterfly valve spindle I am having problem with. I may make up a locking plate for the time being to hold the valve fully open - at the moment apart from a little friction on the seals there is nothing holding it in a fixed postion so it is free to do what it likes :o

Apparently the valve was an attempt to reduce the smoke on these engines at low revs. I guess i could always put up with the smoke, or go faster :naughty:
