My car goes to shows with a club

My car just looks like it's been shown a club, or two :default_biggrin:

That's just the way I like it too, rough and ready to go for miles. Like me :default_norty:

and a certain fat man dressed in red

I will have you know, I try and avoid dressing in red during December (especially visiting Garden Centres) the little kids 'whispering' "Mum, MUM There goes  S*****a" gets rather tiresome.

Oh come on now Malcolm don't be that grumpy Grinch :default_biggrin:

You're just focusing on the wrong things like so many. What about that Christmas spirit, eating till you burst, drinking one too many shandy's, being surrounded by loved ones laughing and joking, the lights and decorations in houses and streets, and a certain fat man dressed in red :default_xmas2:

It's not commercialised if you don't allow it to be, it's everything that you make it to be.

Right, where's me mince pie :default_xmas3:

Can’t help it, mate.  TV adverts start too early - I know when Christmas is and don’t need reminding from September.  Spending time with loved ones would be okay if we didn’t have to work.  Why do the sales have to start on Boxing Day?  Who needs to buy a sofa in the DFS Sale when they have a sale on every bl00dy day of the year?  Gets my goat!
Grinch . . . . . . . . . probably.  Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Christmas, but I don’t need it rammed down my throat and it is far too commercialised.

A wipe around the lights, door handles, and number plates is it, stops you getting nicked, keeps your hands clean and you can see where you are going, sod the rest, it's just a bloody car.

They don't start in September and nobody is strapping you down in a chair forcing you to watch them. Or are they??? :default_ohmy:

Go to the pub, you don't see them there :default_norty:

Why do the sales have to start on Boxing Day?

They don't. It's just that everyone is in the pub before Boxing Day and don't notice :default_beerchug:

Who needs to buy a sofa in the DFS Sale when they have a sale on every bl00dy day of the year?

But everyone hasn't spilled their turkey gravy, beer, wine and christmas pudding laced custard all over the pride of place settee in the middle of your living room until Christmas, and so on Boxing Day good old DFS (other furniture stores are available) are on hand ready to supply you with a new piece of majestic furniture.

Then when the champagne gets spilled all over said piece of furniture in the New Year festivities, and you were too grumpy on Boxing Day to buy that furniture insurance, here is good old DFS, open and with a sale, ready to supply you with yet another new piece of furniture to replace that Boxing Day purchase you never really liked anyway :default_xmas3:

Gets my goat!

Makes a change from the traditional Christmas fayre :default_winko:

Grinch . . . . . . . . . probably.

You know what eventually happened to him after someone wouldn't allow him to stay Christmas grumpy, don't you :default_xmas2:

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Christmas

Good man. See I'm making progress and half way there already :default_beerchug:

But I don’t need it rammed down my throat

Nobody is ramming anything down your throat, unless you allow it. Or is it just a bit of dry turk.....sorry goat :default_norty:

And it is far too commercialised.

Just embrace this wonderful time of year in your own way, and don't let marketing make you follow all those sheep Malcolm :default_biggrin:

I have faith in you :default_norty:

Surely you have to top up the water and coal sometimes? It is a Stanley Steamer you have, isn't it? How much trade-in did you get for Dobbin?

I shall let members here guess how often my car gets cleaned..... or even serviced!

I guess the answer is the same as my own car, it only knocks a bit more paint off and exposes more rust anway.

It's always fun watching the kids try and avoid all the mould growing inside too :default_biggrin:
