Its a long time since I've seen the Staithe with no boats moored.

I bet I could put you off wanting to stay there, courtesy of Google maps.... :default_smiley-angelic002:

Been moored at Richardsons since the beginning of this year and I’ve never seen the Staithe empty as yet.

Looks a nice day.

We managed to Moor there two years ago, just enough room between two private craft, then a huge hire boat arrived and wanted us to move as they wanted to Moor!!

They then spent 15 minutes trying to turn around....

I had an old Norman 25 years ago that was painted in a hideous beige that had matted off and festered, I would have loved it to look as good as Nyx!

Scraped it off in the end and did a season with streaks still over the top where it wouldn't shift, still looked better, it turned out that the huge discoloured splat of filler on the roof under the paint that I was dreading to find was only covering 4 tiny little screw holes, I was expecting a huge hole!

It is, Gren! I passed Nyx on the river, and within six months a green haze had appeared on my boat. I can't imagine where else it might have come from.

If it is contagious I do hope you'll be staying up above "that" bridge this winter. I could do without having to rename the boat Grassland Shadow :default_smiley-angelic002:

Maybe I should call it the "Potter Patina". Anyway, "Grassland Shadow" is a nice name!

Some time ago (maybe before MMs present boat,) I did say we should compete in a competition: “How Green Is My Galley”. I believe he rightly ignored my post!

We must have been lucky but we have always managed to get moored on there when we have wanted too.

This was in July.

Someone elsewhere has suggested the staithe is actually closed whilst works are ongoing??

Access to three marinas, a boat yard, several other businesses, a very active farm and private housing is via 2 way traffic on single track roads, expect delays!

We have got on there every time we have taken our own boat!

Could have squeezed on in October when we had the hire boat but decided to stay in the boat yard for our last night instead.

Only went there once with Lightning. It was lunchtime, midweek in June a few years ago. Empty when we arrived.
