A great turn out for the quiz tonight and it ended in a five way tie for first place which was won by Geoff who will will be the QM next Friday.

We had a good crowd in this evening for the quiz, including a few new faces.  The eventual winner was Polly, who scored 1 points, with NikO in second place on 13  and Nigel in 3rd place on 11,  Congratulations to Polly, who has the honour of setting next week's quiz.

I have almost completed my quiz for Friday. However, I just received an e-mail from my Internet Service Provided as follows:

Notification of Emergency Maintenance which may affect your service.

Date: Friday 12th June between 20:00 – 04:00

Impact: Intermittent service

Third party engineers are undertaking essential network maintenance work for your broadband service.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused while this work is being completed. If you still have no connection after the planned work, please first reboot your router and check again. 

I am happy to run the quiz as planned, but there may be interruptions and we may not be able to complete it. Can regular quizzers please let me know whether  you want to go ahead on Friday or give it a miss for this week and reconvene on the 19th?  I will be guided by the consensus.

My broadband held out for the duration of the quiz, so I needn't have worried on that account. The runaway winner  was Tigerhawk on 21 points, who will be next Friday's QM, with Bern in second place and NikO and Nigel (Fair Tmiddling) in joint 3rd. Congratulations all.
