volvo quartz engine hour meters

Hi

All the engine hr meters have gone blank,on my boat.read that if dry them out with a hair dryer its a temp fix,do i need to replace for new,

Are these the ones in the rev counters, of so then a few days in the airing cupboard may sort them temporarilly but it often only lasts a year or so. New ones are a mad price though sometimes they come up on fleabay brand new, or Coastal Rides may have some at a more sensible price.

Yes they are the ones in the rev counters,thank you for tip David,I will give it a go,as we have had an enquiry regards selling our boat ,don't realy want to spend any more money if we do decide to sell,(boat was't even up for sale)
