Bambam456
We have bought new auto bilge pump and confused by the wiring. The pump itself has black Red and blue wires and The instructions say black brown and white and brown wires. Anybody know which correspond with which. We have tried several ways of wiring but bilge pump keeps constantly running. Any help appreciated thanks
JanetAnne
I came across this before on the boat currently moored next to me. I can have a look tomorrow if you haven't got it sorted by then. Is this a seaflow pump?
floydraser
This may be wrong but I'll take a stab: the red and black will be pos and neg and when connected to 12v should run the pump constantly. Connect the blue to the positive instead and the pump operates via it's internal float switch. The pump should be upright and shouldn't run when dry, cutting in when there's enough water to trip the switch. There may be a test button on the pump to simulate a trip. So red should go to "manual" and blue to "auto" if that is what is on the wiring diagram. Test carefully first and wait for another couple of answers here to confirm! Vaughan
I haven't come across one of these but what Floydraser says is logical, if this is a pump with its own combined float switch.
