NOTICE TO MARINERS
LOWESTOFT OUTER HARBOUR – MODIFICATION TO SSE PONTOON IN
WAVENEY DOCK
Mariners and Port Users are advised that Modification works to the SSE Pontoon in
Waveney Dock are due to be carried out between Wednesday 4th March to Friday 6th
March. The works will be carried out using the Self Propelled Floating Barge “WorkFloat
1”, 8M x 5M.
The “Work Float 1” will be floated from Brooke Marine Slipway early on the 4th March
and Self Propel to the Worksite in Waveney Dock, ready to commence work at 09:00
Hrs Local Time. The Barge will be manned by 2 x Personnel during the working hours
from 09:00 Hrs to 17:00 Hrs approximately. The Barge will be monitoring VHF Ch. 14 at
all times and may be contacted using their name “Work Float 1” or Call sign MGUV3.
Vessels are requested to transit Waveney Dock at slow speed and to not to pass close
to the works area to minimise affects of vessel wash.
