Lovely thread Ray, you can always rely on a dog (or other pal) to add some cheer. Here are my two lively beasts. (Very tiring this boating lark!)

Oh and mustn't forget Winston's predecessor, meet Nelson, a collie/gsd cross, and yes another rescue.

Not a vey good pic but one of the few without him barking (didn't like cameras or anything pointed at him), he had a thing for chasing trains and as we live by a playing field beside the eastcoast mainline it made for easy exercise.

We had some moggys but they don't count, they were her fault!

Rosie and Mambo.  13.5 year old Red/white bitch.  16 month old Tri dog.  Rosie quite a well travelled boating dog when we were shareholders in Moonlight Shadow.  We got the Sprog after we left.  Used part of the share sale pennies to add him to the family.

Staffies  sometimes get terrible press, but between our son and his wife’s dog, Simba and our girl, we have two of the gentlest dogs I’ve ever known and as far as Simba is concerned, one of the silliest.  Five and a half stone of stupidity, who loves nothing more than to carry a stick when he’s out. . . . . . .

Staffies are great dogs, very people orientated. My brother and nephew each had one ànd they were brilliant pets 👍

I used to have a Staffy Cross, half Jack Russell half Staf.... completely bonkers ☺
