A Idea For Pictures Before Lockdown

Just as you were getting the idea that the peace and quiet of the Broads was missed,   these quick snips are from 2012 and were taken when Richardsons on a really sunny August day had one of those moments when everyone but everyone appeared to be going on their jollies.    I have tried to pick the ones that dont show people clearly so as to protect their privacy.

Great photos thanks for sharing. We were moored a few boats down from you  at Beccles that weekend and had a few good chats to Alan. He will be missed this year as he seemed to be there every time we moored there last year. I remember you looked like you were enjoying the boat very much.

It was great boat John... Ideal for for any number of people only draw back was limited to certain rivers but that didn’t worry us... Next time we are about give us a wave

Cheers Mike

My yearly visit to Knockhill for the British Touring Car Championship is my main excursion after being on the boat/broads.

Where I go others follow ( Julia Bradbury stood in that exact spot with The Twelve Appostles behind her in her Series on Australia).  And me with my trusty steed that was a great car to drive the Great Ocean Road in.

I really am beginning to wonder when the World will be "Open" for us over 70s again :default_badday:

Lovely photos, yes indeed Cris.It appears we've reached the top of the curve.Lets hope this is the start of a way out of this madness. In the words of the great man.

"Now this is not the end.It is not even the beginning of the end.But it is .perhaps the end of the beginning ".

My photo today on St George's day, which I think is fitting. Was taken last summer. The dark before the light.

We will come through this.

The first boat we hired, Conquest from Stalham Yacht Services and the first time we saved enough for a 'big' boat and for a two week holiday, Aston Carolina (Aston boats obviously)

Both in the 80s, some nice looking boats behind Conquest

The lovely Mrs Ray in both shots, 42nd anniversary next month ☺

A very early start for Kings Canyon. As it was getting light the sun hit Ularu and The Olgars first, magical light, DSC00475.thumb.JPG.5cc67b6a3202ffa6de1d5bfe24f92556.JPGthey are to the west of Ayers. Me with the best looking Outback Pilot in NTs, the rest made Crocodile Dundee look positively cosmopolitan.

I felt much safer over Lake Amadeus with Ashley at the controls723018357_DSC00471(2020_01_0709_33_25UTC).thumb.JPG.a97783d711d7a8f391ef878d39f63171.JPG

A very rare sight Lake Amadaus with water.

Ashley took us in really low to see some wild camels attracted by the water. It is only when you are so low you suddenly realise just how fast you are travelling and I missed a shot of them.

Reminds me of a flight we did up in the Northern Territory, near to Kakadu (a proper National Park!). Our pilot spotted some water buffalo and decided we should have a better look. Great fun swooping down but I did worry about my husband whose neck I could see in front of me - it started going a funny green colour.............🥴

Looks remarkably similar to Le Viaduc de Millau in France in its design, although smaller and with a much lower road deck.

Yeah but South Queensferry has three (well two really now) iconic bridges lol!

20th August 2011,

The E Types are in Cromer to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their launch.

Malcolm Sayer the designer of the car described by no less than Enzo Ferrari as "The most beautiful car in the World"  was born in Cromer, I believe in Vicarage Road.

December 2013.....The Surge.

Judith and I were one of the first cars to reach Salthouse following that event apart from earth moving equipment. I think actually the road was officially closed. The 1.8 tsi Yeti 4x4 in off road mode had no problem.

Also December 2013

It must have got just too cold in the North Sea for this young Sunfish that we found on Happisburgh beach.
