Chelsea14Ian
Sadly Big Jack has passed away at the age of 85.Words like legend are thrown around. In he's case he truly was .Think I saw he play once At Chelsea. Later being a adopted Irish man.Another player of the 1966 World Cup winning team. Sure Jack is now setting up a Heven 11. RIP Jack. 1
DAVIDH
Thank you once again Ian, for recognising a true legend of the Leeds team of the late 60s/70s. This is so sad to hear. I know he had been in poor health for some years with a form of dementia, but it's still a shock. He joins Billy Bremner, Norman Hunter and Trevor Cherry, and of course their old manager Don Revie. It seems the places in the team are being filled alarmingly fast by all these ex-players.

ChrisB
I had the honour of shooting with him at Weston Park. A true gentleman and wonderful raconteur. Edited from my picture of the day.

Chelsea14Ian
Don't think Jack had to buy many pints of the black stuff in Ireland.

Heard a story this morning from an Irish player that he would pay for a round of drinks with a cheque knowing that it was more likely to be framed than banked. 1
