I just peeked at NBS and it's the Alpha 42 from Silverline that's 65k, the 29 is a snip at a mere 50k.......
OldBerkshireBoy
Sheerline 950 just short of £40k at NYA, some people prefer them and I`m sure there is an Alpha 35 around somewhere for same sort of money.
WherryNice
https://www.richardsonsboatsales.net/ Richardsons have a selection of boats for sale currently including some centre cockpit models which may fit the bill. You haven't mentioned a budget yet but however much that turns out to be always allow a decent margin for upgrades/improvements/repairs etc to be carried out pretty much straight away after purchase, there will usually be something that needs doing unless you are lucky enough to be operating at the top end of the market. Mouldy
At NYA, Horning: https://www.nya.co.uk/boats-for-sale/fair-entrepreneur-35-2/ Not an Aquafibre or Alpha, but of the correct style and size.
NorfolkNog
Alphacrafts (understandably) seem to attract a premium and good ones (even the not so good ones) tend to fly off the shelf. Good luck but be quick and keep your cheque book handy!!
CambridgeCabby
The Silverline boats seem excellent value
Ray49
Many thanks for all your reply’s. Don’t laugh, my budget is £30000 max hoping we might find something half decent. Don’t mind a doing some work as I find that part of the appeal. Thanks Ray
OldBerkshireBoy
Leave it for now, watch and maybe try a cheeky offer towards the end of the year, for some reason boat sales are up at the moment after lockdown.
OldBerkshireBoy
Also, don`t just look in Norfolk as those sort of boats are on rivers all over and can be moved by road thus saving the Norfolk tax.
NorfolkNog
2 bits of good advice from OBB From what I hear the market is very lively at the moment which will keep upward pressure on prices. I'm no expert but would guess you could get something around that particularly if you are wiiling to do some work, internal refitting, sealing windows etc.
NorfolkNog
....not sure where you live but often best way is to 'get on your bike' and go around the brokers and yards. Many boats are sold even before they are advertised. You may be lucky and find something just due in.
CambridgeCabby
Realise it’s front steer as opposed to centre steer , but the bounty 37 for sale and alluded to in the post on here is a well priced and excellent example

NorfolkNog
Boats designed and built for the Broads possibly?
JennyMorgan
Buy by all means but I suggest that you hang on until at least October, prices traditionally drop before Christmas when people off-load their once loved hole in the water before the winter costs start kicking in, next year's mooring fees start looming their ugly heads and the sellers become increasingly desperate to sell. During the lean winter boat salesmen also become keen to sell a boat or two, even if it means a drop in commission. Become a fender kicker and prepared to barter hard!
