vanessan
South Walsham would be my choice as I think itβs quieter. (Malthouse if you want to boat watch though.)

Paul
Of the options then South Walsham, though much prefer Barton to either.Β
marshman
It isΒ probably not relevant at the moment but S Walsham has much better holding!!!
oldgregg
I'd go for South Walsham. One of the most beautiful Broads to wake up on, in my opinion.....
Thompo10
We did south Walsham, going to try another tonight. It was lovely πΒ Need to get back to brundall Friday but staying a few days where we can sleep in a big broad ππ Now to see why we have no electric..Β Β

Thompo10
Electric sorted. Headed back across Breydon today. Can you mudweight anywhere down south? Are Rockland or surlingham possible?Β
YnysMon
Surlingham Broad (Bargate)Β is a popular spot for mud-weighting, though some people have reported problems with weed there.Β Rockland Broad is too shallow, you must keep to the channel between the marker poles. You can moor in Short Dyke though, either on the free BA moorings there or using your rhond anchor further up the dyke, or you could continue across Rockland Broad to the moorings near The New Inn on Rockland St Mary staithe. Thompo10
Thank you. We did love the quiet of mudweighting in a broad, will check on surlingham π
Matt
+1 for Surlingham/Bargate. I reckon itβs my favourite overnight mudweight.....Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
Thompo10
It didn't look like an option on our map, so that's great news ππ
Helian
There was a threat a couple of weeks ago about getting anchors ) mudweights to hold on Bargate...Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
Maxwellian
Never had a problem of drifting on Bargate Broad, one of my favourites.
