I am looking to buy a small cheap cabin cruiser approx 20' for weekend use. Would you reccomend going for an inboard or outboard engine (2 Stroke or 4 Stroke).

I powered a Dawncraft 25 foot cruiser with a mariner 15 hp four stroke and that proved to be a good setup using just over a litre and hour cruising and took my wife and I all the way to Warwick Castle via the river Nene and the Northampton Arm connecting to the Grand Union Canal, If anyone ever gets to go that way do look forward to the Braunston Tunnel 1.5 miles of unlit nightmare but never to be forgotton.

So I think always get a fourstroke outboard, try and make sure it charges the battery and has electric start. Theres plenty of cheap boats on E bay so enjoy! :Stinky
