Winterising Question Again

Hi going to the boat tomorrow to complete the winterisation before lock down. She will be on shore power with a couple of tube heaters and an oil filled rad on froststats. My question is while on shore power do I leave the battery charger on and charging both the engine battery bank and the domestics, or just the domestics or none? Hopefully this is my last dumb question of the season.

Both. Cold and self discharge will do them in. A good charger will keep a float charge in the system

We leave on our battery charger that feeds both the starting and domestic batteries all year round.  Tube heaters on and set to +2C from about Late October though to early April.  Hope this helps

Hi Foxy make sure you have the right type of charger otherwise you will cook the batteries dry, battery maintainer is best. John
