Canopy Remedy

Unfortunately the canopy on "Glenmore" is not at its best shall we say! Some might even say its knackered.

However, I need to make it last a wee while at least while fiscal recovery is attempted. The main problem is that it appears to have shrunk and is difficult to set up. I can cope with that for now.

Its a canvas canopy covered on the outside by some form of plastic or vinyl. This is cracked and split and leaks. What is there I could "paint" it with? Needs to remain flexible when dry. Gary, at Coverit, always said use dope on vinyl canopy seams but I don't fancy this stuff for an all over coating.

Blimey! Sounds a rather novel approach not to mention expensive, and illegal!

Cheaper to buy a new canopy, maybe that was their plan!!?

I'm with Trev on the Fabsil. It's available at all camping type shops where it's probably cheaper than chandlers! It cured a lot of small leaks on Serenity's canopy.

There is Norwich Camping and Leisure at Blofield will sell it. Its only good for plain canvas canopies though where it can soak in.
