Improvements On The Broads

They continue to dredge, they continue to maintain moorings, they continue to put in electric posts where possible and they continue to cut trees down! The trouble is cutting trees down is never as easy as all that and even when you do get permission from the EA , the landowner etc etc. the damned things keep on growing elsewhere!

What else had you in mind? They only have a relatively small number of operatives doing that work and the budget is not going to get bigger!

with the number of people not paying tolls because they  can't use their boats, it's going to get smaller

Is that still the case or just raking over old coals! For a good period of last year people were legally able to use their boat and therefore no excuse for not paying. If they chose not to use their boat and put it, or left it on the hard standing then that is fair enough.

What will the Broads Authority will  be doing in 2021? Dredging or Moorings  improvement or Maintenance of cutting down over hanging Trees in the Ant also going towards  Coltishall that needs doing  and putting some more onshore  Electricity Post  if where possible.

If they had any sense, more outsourcing. There dredging is painfully inefficient, there subcontract piling isn't managed nearly well enough (see the abortion that is viaduct moorings at Hoveton) and there tree clearance is beyond a joke. Tender more work out. I'd love to tender to the tree clearance, we've done acres on the broads and have got very efficient at it.
