Hi Ghosty, If it helps, I have a 7 metre mooring available at the Waveney River Centre which I paid for before selling my boat - I know, - stupid!! The mooring has electric hook up and water and the marina has full facilities. I paid £1295.00 for the year to Marcch 31st 2012 but would sell on at a very good discount, (try offering somewhere around half)

I always understood that you could not sell on a mooring that you had paid for from a marina? It still belongs to the marina and the berth holder takes out a contract with the marina.

Virtually all of them are paid annually in advance, from either April or January.

There are dozens of Boatyards and Marinas around the broads, and the average for a 22ft boat would be just under £1000 pa.

There's a list of boatyards on the NSBA website at http://www.thegreenbook.org.uk/home/launching.asp , most provide moorings, as indicated. There are a few others though, not mentioned in that list.
