Jbx5
Take your time Ian, especially when looking for a house in Norfolk, location location, from experience what looks lovely in the summer can be bleak in winter. John 2
ZimbiIV
Ian/ Marina, We bought our house rather than rent, 20 years ago decided 2 years gone to stay. Guess I am going to have to empty that box that is still sealed from when we moved. 3 doors away they put a for sale sign up with the sold sign on 2 days ago! Enjoy the move. paul

John Isn't that the truth! I lived in Lulworth for a while and people very often said how lovely that must be...not during the winter it's not!
TheQ
It is noticeable that houses here in North Norfolk have been selling fast, I suspect a lot of townies particularly Londoners have decided to move to the countryside for good. So many companies have decided to keep working from home it's going to change working patterns. Even Norwich union announced they were closing two sites in Norwich , concentrating most staff in fewer buildings but allowing the majority of staff to work part time from home. It may bring life back to many villages which are full of second homers only at the house on the weekends.
Chelsea14Ian
This afternoon we had three viewings. One seemed keen and said may put in a offer. Two viewings Wednesday, then four Friday three on Saturday. Think we're have to start looking soon in Norfolk or Suffolk.

addicted
All this talk of viewings brings back such good memories to me. During the 90s my daughter had an Estate Agency with 2 offices one in Kentish Town and one in Highgate Village, I used to work for her one day a week, sometimes more. I loved it She got fed with it being "open House" on estate agents in general and the result of this, people being gratuously rude so she sold it. I still really miss it even though our moving to Cambs. would have forced my retirement anyway I was always sorry she sold it. She never regretted it She didn't stay idle for long however, she started an internet company specialising in all things pony related which has gone from strength to strength. In its early days we used to get drafted in to help with the Christmas deluge of orders but it got too big and she had to employ a fulfillment Company after a while. I still miss the estate agent days. Carole ly days we used to get drafted in at Chrisrmas to help with
SwanR
Highgate Village. Must have seen some very high prices up there. My family were from that area and we used to visit often as I had close relatives up at the top of North Hill.
Chelsea14Ian
Bit of a spanner in the works. When our boiler was fitted, they never issued us with a Gas Compliance certificate. Then the company went bust.So now we've had to get one done, which will cost me a few Bob.Must be done, but so annoying 🙄. Still onwards and upwards.
