Boat Jumble

Popped along to the Essex boat boot jumble last Sunday.

Typically the weather was a bit grim, grey, cold and windy after days of sunshine beforehand

Anyhow, it was nice to see a return (of sorts) to a more normal time where peeps can go out and about. It wasn't too busy and on the whole people were respecting others 'space', so I felt comfortable being there.

Managed to pick up a lovely Clock & Barometer set whilst there.......It is a treat for Lady Emma to say sorry to her for the months of not seeing her through lockdown !

Don't forget there is the Norfolk Boat Jumble at the Norwich Showground on Sunday 6th June .

I had a look at the dates for the Norfolk Boat jumble, thinking I could pop down on the mighty Tiger - annoyingly it clashes with a shoot Sunday so can't make it

We've always found the Norfolk boat jumble to be a bit of a waste of time quite honestly. the one we've always found we can get everything we want at is the Essex boat jumble. Sadly they changed the venue and as a result the date  and it's been held in Febnruary  in recent years. We've got to be really desperate for something or have a really big shopping list to brave the elements there  these dsys.

I found the same with the one at Lincoln Showground, it used to be really good years ago but nowadays it's a shadow of its former self, plus that was in February too and braving the elements on a boat Jumble that was pretty poor was no longer much fun

Got the Clock & Barometer set installed today......

This arrived in the post today. 

Will be going on the clock & barometer tomorrow.......After I've installed the fridge and watched the Grand Prix

I've ordered and received a new battery mechanism for our onboard clock which I'll fit next time down, assuming I have ordered correctly
