Guest
basic question: how/what different it is hiring a boat in Norwich and Wroxham
goodall_m1
subbu You might also want to consider Freedom down at Horning (http://freedomboatingholidays.com). Personaly if I was going to take a day boat out I would probably prefer to do it on the Bure (e.g. Wroxham or Horning) to the Yare as the tides on the Yare are quite a bit stronger, and the Northern area is more compact. Watch out if you go for a day hire of a cruiser (what Freedom call a "Picnic Boat") as you may also be constrained by Wroxham bridge and almost definitely by Potter bridge. Against that a "picnic boat" would give you cooking facilities (i.e. make your own tea and coffee, and therefore you wouldn't be so dependent on finding a hostelry) but they also provide toilet facilities, which can come in useful if out for the whole day.
