Roy
How does living on a boat on the broads work . Are there many marinas that allow residential mooring for the whole year. Thsnks
Sam
Waveney River Centre has residential moorings.
Oddfellow
There are few places that openly allow residential moorings others turn a blind eye. The BA has a history of persecuting liveaboards and looks, again, to be readying for an attack on the residents of Thorpe Island having previously reiterated that there are no rules being broken there, seem to have suddenly discovered that rules have been broken. In essence, living aboard your boat is permitted. Doing so on a mooring that may not have the requisite permissions is a different thing entirely and the BA has form..... Bytheriver
This is the latest published documentation I can find on BA website - unless Tom can come up with anything newer? https://www.broads-authority.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0030/264738/Residential-Moorings-Guide-for-consultation-pc060320.pdf
Cheesey69
They really don’t want livaboards. Is that a good or bad thing?
Smoggy
There's nowt wrong with liveaboards, there's far more liveaboards than there are problem liveaboards.
Guest
There are livaboards probably that not a lot of people even know about.
SwanR
There is one boat that seems to just move between Hoveton St John and Hoveton Viaduct.

grendel
I dont know, was it something biblical, like the heavens opening and a bolt of lightning?

Ooo, errrrr Jean started a thread about moving to Norfolk and I recoginsed the itinerent Foster that hangs about above Wroxham Bridge. That set them all off and it totally hijacked Jean's thread. So I hold my hands up!! I think generally in respect to the OP we should try to keep on topic..........but we rarely do

Mouldy
There’s what I believe was a live aboard currently under offer at Waterside Marine. I was quite surprised to see it on there when I was looking at the brokers websites a few days ago.

Roy, Waterside Marina may sell boats suitable for living on but they do not permit you to moor there if you decide to live on it.

Indeed, indeed. I see what you're saying, however I must confess that I do prefer the environmental effects in the quantum walk dynamics to be addressed using the non-Hermitian Hamiltonian approach, but that's just me I'm afraid
