NotDeadYet
Presently moored on the island at Womack Water. It's all a bit odd, or we are very lucky. Just popped in at about 1700 on the off chance and lo and behold. We've also moored at Gaye's Staithe, Paddy 's, Sutton Staithe, that brilliant wild mooring near Wayford (hat tip to Grif or Robin), could have got in at Thurne, spurned the vacancy at Irstead, and failed at Dilham! At this rate, stern on at Ranworth will be a cinch. It has been raining a bit, mind you, so nothing's perfect. Oh, and we are flying the NBN burgee/pennant, so perhaps that's the secret.

YnysMon
Are you scoffing all four yourself? Wish I could have…had to share them with the three other crew members.

NotDeadYet
Sounds like the bakery is a must. No dinghy, so will seek out a gap on the Staithe later.

Yep, all 4, and some cheese cake as well as a cinnoman whirl (bought two) ...not all at the same time but it's enough to say I've run out of them now and feel rather full. Have just met 'NotDeadYet' and they're off to the bakery. Good to meet you, Have fun and bon apertite. 1

NotDeadYet
Just gobbled up the tarts - excellent - having scored the last slot on the side at Ranworth. Great day all round. Started by meeting MauriceMynah (might not be a real name), who kindly appeared and took our ropes, then up to Potter for pump out, water, fish and chips. Exchanged pleasantries with some sailor person, who got under way straight at us just we were emerging from H Woods. Quite a windy day, so loads of fun with more sailors on the way to a pint at the Malsters. Every day should be like this

NotDeadYet
Why would you start your engine at 2120? Happening now and similar last time we were here.

I’ve found it a bit tricky there in a sailey. Bear in mind that the site of the demasting mooring in Potter that you need to use before going under ‘the bridge’ isn’t ideal, being just before the Herbie Woods entrance. In fact you are a sitting duck for all the traffic going in and out of there, especially if you are on one of the Hunter’s Yard boats that are still authentic and without any electric engine power.

The only reason why we got put off mooring at Womack Staithe. Otherwise, a very pleasant mooring.
addicted
We once had someone moored next to us on womack staithe start their engine at 22.30. We pointed out that it was not appropriate and they promptly turned it off. Mjnd you, they did try to side swipe us on their way out next morning! grendel
I have seen an exploded fender that was melted due to blocking an adjacent crafts heater vent (or it may have been their own heater vent, anyway the fender melted through and went pop.
