Davydine
Evening all, My cousin and her family have booked a week on The Broads next year and I would like to buy them a guidebook to give them some ideas where they can visit. Which guide books would you all recommend for someone new to boating and The Broads. Many thanks, David
YnysMon
I haven’t used any guidebooks. There’s just so much information available online nowadays. For instance, the Herbert Woods website has a great section on places to visit, walks and do on, as do most of the other hire yards sites. I also like this site: http://www.broadsnet.co.uk
Davydine
Thanks, that's the problem, I use the internet myself, but I really want to buy them a real life book!

RS2021
NBD have produced a 'Souvenir Guide' which they give to all their hirers in their welcome pack. I think its an excellent introduction to where you can go and what you can do on the broads. I don't know if they sell them to non-customers though. LizG
As so much is online, you could source an old guide book. Perhaps a Hamilton's or one of the pre war guides. Completely out of date but always a fascinating read
BroadAmbition
Hamiltons is really good even if now slightly out of date Griff
