ill be fishing most of the broads

at my upcoming holiday

only after smaller fish realy

up to say 3lb would say size 10 to 14

hooks be sufficent....float fishing

and what type of fish can i expect :Stinky

I normally fish using 14/16 hooks when float fishing but of course it is down to personal choice.

You can expect to catch Roach, Rudd, Bream, Perch even the odd Carp. Eels will always find your hook especially when on worms a maggot. Fishing has been very good over the past few years so be prepared for some good fishing.

Have a great holiday and don't forget to update us with your holiday and fishing tales.

please make sure that your line is strong enough. and you have the right tackle to get the hooks out. take some pliers or forcepts as well.

I know you are only going for the smaller fish, but if Mr Pike fancies the fish you are trying to land.....BANG...then there is a fight.

Some of the season I find a size 12 hook adequate, but as soon as we get to Autumn and the water begins to clear I find I have to scale both hook and hook length down to a 14/16 with a 2lb hook length.

On the subject of unhooking I find the Slammo disgorgers absolutely brilliant easily removing hooks from those deeply hooked Perch or Ruffe with the minimum of trouble.
