Mooring

Hi newbie boat owner hopefully getting keys to 27 ft cruiser in next couple of days but struggling to find a suitable mooring could anyone suggest anything even if it's a temporary fix till something more permanent came up any help gratefully received

I shall give the advice that I always do.

Get in your car, do the rounds and ask for a mooring face to face.

Voice mail is rarely returned, E-mails ignored and saying no is much harder face to face than on the end of a phone.

What sort of mooring are you looking for is it a marine or just a mooring with no facilities

Seen an advert for stern on mooring up to 46ft at Herbert Woods, avaiable until March 23rd.

At 27ft I trust the minimum length would prohibit it. PM if you need more info.

Think one of the marinas at Wayford bridge had a couple of spaces.  Richardson's may have as one of my neighbours boats has recently left for brokerage, space left is about about 30ft.

Just this minute heard of a mooring in Brundall if that suits you. All services including boat repairs and updates with diesel and gas sales, cctv in large carpark. Dont know about costs but can ask if you are interested. Send me a PM.

You could try speaking to Dave at Broads Edge Marina Stalham it has lovely leafy green areas tree lined and is perhaps one of the loveliest marina's on the Broads there are mostly stern on moorings with a few side on ones and it is not to expensive.   https://www.broadsedgemarina.co.uk/

But don't call him Dave. It's David. Go in person. That's what I did and got a mooring there and then. Beautiful marina.
