pks1702
From Shotley website: This morning the Shotley Marina Yard crew lifted the Trinity House Pilot Boat Haven Harrier. She had damaged her port propeller on some debris whilst on her way to deliver a Pilot to one of the in bound ships coming to Felixstowe docks. This was changed and the Harrier was back in the water within a couple of hours. The marina provides 24 hour emergency cover for lifting the Pilot boats if they get into any problems, 365 days of the year.

pks1702
I think the blog is written by the marina manager not the yard so perhaps the reason for the inaccuracy.
pks1702
Gawd Perry, You must have talked this one up :o Not me Guv honest - I think I am down their tomorrow with a pair of props in my boot so maybe all my prop handling in the last few weeks has got something to do with it I guess a bit like a high milage driver and accidents; the laws of probability say the more you use it the more likely you are to 'clonk' something. Just as long as its not one of those containers
Palmtree
Rod, The props don't appear to have rope cutters fitted is this normal for working boats? Ian
