dom
For insurance, try Haven Knox-Johnston or Craftinsure. Marine insurance is generally quite good value compared to cars. If in doubt, it's probably worth sharing your quote on here.
marshman
They appear good value as, in my experience, they often seem to find a way not to pay out!!!! The cynic in me suggests that that keeps premiums low!!!! 1

The cynic in me suggests that that keeps premiums low!!!! I think that's a universal statement with insurance these days, irrespective of market. It was meant more as "if you're not pleasantly surprised at the premium, try someone else"!
marshman
Not much of an argument if you present a pile of junk after someone has rammed your car and all you have is a pile of bits Perhaps I should have left the fire to burn down to the waterline - not much argument about that I suspect as cause not necessarily obvious!! Smoggy
Gjw have been fine with me as have craftinsure, have claimed with both and both good. If you go for craftinsure use this link Craftinsure as it's a via a boaty website I babysit and keeps me in their good books. Recommendations are better from folk that have had to claim, both companies I have spoken to English accents over the phone that I could understand (OK gjw was a scouser, nearly english).
WherryNice
I insure via Alan Boswell, local broker, they know the Broads, good price etc etc but never had to claim so can't comment on that aspect.
ExSurveyor
I had to make a claim against Haven Knox Johnston, I did this without going via my own insure. They were superb.
Ray
As for breakdown service I can recommend Sutton Staithe Boatyard, they cover the north and south Broads and give a great, friendly service. https://suttonstaitheboatyard.co.uk

Again, they cover both the northern and southern rivers. We’ve had occasion to use them twice over the past five years and both times they were quick to respond and resolved the issue quickly. https://boultermarine.co.uk
