Running Engines

Recommended Posts

What did they say? It's getting a common problem. We were moored down Thurne Dyke recently. Two boats running their engines as we came back from the pub. Fortunately not near us.

Its not the need to charge batteries I guess but the "need" to have showers at all hours of the day - and/or indeed several a day! Don't have a wash, but have a shower seems to be the modem attitude! Good job I am old fashioned!!!!!!

I had it in Oct last year at Beccles, hire started their engine at 5am. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking they were moving to go across Breydon but after 20 mins i got up and dressed and knocked on their boat. They had turned it on for a shower!

i must have looked official because when i told them they couldnt have it on before 8am they turned it of sharpish. Didnt help me get back to sleep though!
