fendoff
The Environment Agency are going to temporarily close a path near to Ludham Bridge while they do repairs to the flood bank. June 10 -24 2024. Please see attached notice. This was copied from the Ludham Facebook page, via Ludham Parish Council. I have searched the EA site but can't find it to double check.
kpnut
Looks like that’s the path that goes up to How Hill. For anyone still wanting to walk to How Hill from Ludham Bridge during the closure, go along the road in the direction of Ludham for a bit until you see a track on your left going down past some fairly unkempt farm buildings. (I can’t remember if there’s a pavement along the road or not, doubt it). Follow that down the track/lane and onto a grass track called Blind Lane. It runs parallel to the river path on the land side of Buttle marsh and has some fantastic views across to Neaves Mill and Griffs corner. That’ll take you to the How Hill moorings. Easier still, just go by boat to How Hill! I wonder if they’ve found this leak after the BA started their ‘rewetting’ programme of Buttle Marsh. Maybe all the water was running away.
