NO.

There is something seriously wrong which did not prepare this lady for the unexpected.  A hire boat, a private boat, it really does not matter.

There needs to be a discussion to avoid these incidents.

My question there is why on earth were they travelling at 4am? Possibly left it to the last day to try and get across Breydon?

As long as it was light enough what does it matter? I've done it before to get a tide time to clear haven bridge and a shove down the coast.

I see the boat owner was " given advice" by the police.

Perhaps the  police should" Give advice" to the council who decided illegally to not maintain the bridge so it can't be opened.

It probably wasnt light enough as sunrise wasnt until 4:30am and they hadnt checked the tide tables to make sure they wouldnt get stuck, thats the issue. 
 

ive got no issue with setting off early if you need to.
