I have heard of a 'rain dance' but can anyone please please do a 'sun dance' for us unfortunates who feel the cold and need a bit of sun please.    This time of year should be ideal on a boat , not soggy ropes and hanging on for dear life because of the wind conditions (no rude comments please).  :default_stinky:

Your wish was my command but unfortunately I think my sun dance only worked in our local area! :default_blink:

You'll be fine... we're going home tomorrow, so the weather is bound to perk up.

Actually, this morning was fantastic. It was at least trying to be summer-like.

Wrong!  I polished my car in preparation for its MoT next week.  That’s guaranteed that we’ll have persistent precipitation until Wednesday at least!

Blimey, the MOT must be getting strict if they're checking the car is clean enough 😀

Whenever I take a car into a garage for work, I like to present it in good condition, internally and externally.  I’d hate to be a mechanic, having to climb into a filthy car, full of discarded fast food wrappers, empty drinks cans and other assorted toot.

I always request that the car isn’t washed by the dealers either.  I am quite fussy about how our cars are maintained and spend a lot of time trying to keep them in good order.

It may just be me and some OCD creeping in, but it spreads into how I like to keep my motorbike and Norfolk Lady too.

I don't think that's uncommon. I know a lot of people in the car community refer to 'free' dealer valets as a "scratching service".

During my time as an auto-electrician, I encountered some pretty disgusting vehicles. One of the most memorable was a Mercedes where every surface in the car was covered in layers of pistachio shells - literally inches deep. It was also notable because there was cash spread everywhere as well. We'd often see cars with loose change spread about, but this was pound coins and notes all over the place. Presumably, they were so rich they neither cared about the state of the vehicle, nor the amount of cash, which must have run to several hundreds.
