CeePee1952
Not wishing to hijack Moonlight Shadows thread but YnysMon's comment - "Nothing better than cruising down river singing along to ‘Carried away’." got me thinking (way too early in the morning for it to be serious thought!). This is a light-hearted look at what song/music could be appropriate for different stretches of the Broads. I'll start by suggesting Highway to Hell by AC/DC for the approach to Ludham Bridge on a busy day during the holiday season Chris 3

grendel
my general go to while cruising, is Status Quo, I have their whole discography on my phone and play it as I cruise along, Dirty Water is particularly appropriate crossing breydon.

PAULG
No music for me, just get the wife on the helm and sit out on the front of the boat in the sun listening to the birds and the water breaking over the bow. Best sound track ever. Oh forgot to add with a can of San Miguel

Bikertov
When I took ownership of my boat last year, after I picked up the keys and went on board for the first time, I sat in the saloon and played that classic song Sailing, by Rod Stewart. Have to admit, my eyes welled up a bit at that point, having dreamt of boat ownership since I was child, coincidentally around the time he recorded the song. 5
MargeandParge
Andre Rieu or very partial to Dionne Warwick that does it for us. We also have a guitar solo album from a Guy called Daniel in Fuerty Ventura very upbeat Spanish folk music with beautiful instrumentals. Then there is Tony Blackburns sounds of the Sixties that livens Saturday mornings up a bit. .Kindest Regards Marge and Parge 2

Mouldy
I just listen to the radio, but was reminded of this for some reason. I used to drink in a pub called The Green Man at Leytonstone back in the day and there was a group called Deep Feeling who played there who comprised of very talented session musicians. The vocalist was one Guy Darrell who had solo chart success back in the sixties. They used to perform a hilarious version of this and I just wish I could remember all of the new lyrics:
