addicted
So glad to see our equestrian team triumph despite the loss of Charlotte DuJardine. I couldn't help wondering whether the exposure of Charlotte's treatment of her horse was timed to damage the team's olympic chances rather than damage Charlotte. Many years ago a friend of mine bought a horse that had been used for eventing but had suddenly been prone to going lame. No medical cause could be found for this so his owner reluctantly decided to sell him. A friend of mine bought him in full knowledge of this. He didn't want to event him, he wanted to him to ride to hounds. After taking him to several meets he noticed that if there was an event going on at the starting point of the meet, the horse would immediately start limping until well past the ring and once it became clear to the horse that he wasn't going to be asked to jump he would walk perfectly normally. Apparently, his previous owner had been rather hard on him and he had found his own way of getting his own back. His previous owner was Charlotte DuJardine's mother! floydraser
Is it just me but when I saw the footage I thought it didn't look like a burst of bad temper, it looked more like a regular procedure. I'm glad it's been called out, I hope a few more whistle blowers come forward.
