Another Toilet Question.

Recommended Posts

On the Sheerline I have a Jabesco manual pump loo fed with river water. I am fed up with the amount of weed in the pan.

How easy is it to swap to a feed from the water tank.

I know I will need a non return valve. Water supply to the basin is nearby that I can tap into.

I will blank off the river supply and wire the valve closed.

An I missing anything else.

Thanks.

You’ll need to do something with the seacock for the river water supply, surely.

Thinking of putting a stop end blank on the pipe and also wiring the seacock closed until the next lift out when I would get it removed and sealed up.

If mines anything to go by its just pumped through a skin fitting, I just don't use the pump with no problems.

That's plan B, the shower is next to the loo. It doesn't get much use.

You're on my old mooring so that's my weed, I left it there for you. If the toilet sucks up a Samsung A71 let me know. :default_smiley-char054:

Hi Chairman You may find you will need a pressure vessel on the water feed if the pump keeps surging, the best place to fit the vessel is near the water pressure pump, it is also best practice to have a loop higher than the toilet with the non return valve at the top or downward slope to the toilet. Having gone to Brian Wards for a new shower hose and head I managed to leave with an accumulator tank and fittings as well.

As the loo has very little use I will replumb the water supply from the tank later. In the meantime time I have refitted the shower and will fit the accumulator vessel, this means I can do a final flush via the shower hose before leaving.

All I am missing is a smallish single coil calorifier if anyone has one sitting in a shed 😁.
