Busy At Horning This Morning

It was unbearable, no breeze.     Sweltering,  let us hope it is cooler tonight.    I did chuckle about the advice to 'sleep downstairs',    well not having an 'upstairs' we would be hard pressed to do otherwise.

I spent a few hours chatting with Grendel under a shady tree at Bramerton yesterday afternoon.  At no point did he make a sudden dash to the waters edge…:default_biggrin:

Ok let's make that nearer 30 minutes, yes it was voluntary, to check the prop, no I did not need rescuing ( though a rescue squad did arrive, because they thought I was struggling, )the water was lovely, the only struggling I did, was with the paddle board trying to go everywhere  other than were I wanted, I eventually tied it off and swam round to the ladder (just in front of the boat.) Shorts out to dry.

I have one of those chill air fans, but still slept on top of the bed covers last night, if I see another it will be going into the shopping trolley. It did help a bit.

I got one of those from Lidl  few weeks ago, for £9.99. seems to be quite effective considering how basic it is inside - just a computer fan, water sump and paper-type filter cartridge to soak up the water that the air then blows over
