Tonight's pub plan involves a mad rush to oulton broad tomorrow (I'm working till 12.00 90 miles away) and either southwold or woodbridge Saturday, then hide for a few days while wind settles.

Bank Holiday traffic may hinder things.....

Blagged off work at 10.30 and got on the road just before 11.00 so that helped, now at reedham and aiming for southwold tomorrow in the rain.

Yep, mutford lock booked for 1.30 tomorrow for the 2.30 bridge lift, fuel up at nobs & snobs and out to sea, likely to be piddling down but wind levels lower so rain will save needing a salt rinse off.

Will hide 3 days in southwold then head further south, I fancy ramsgate as not been since 2019 and lots of good pubs.

Well we think £1.09 per litre is probably a bargain. So you should feel no pain look at it the more you use the more you save. .

How long and how many litres from Lowestoft to Southwold? Just interested.

Are they Volvo engines and what sort of revs do you cruise at she sounded strong and even on the videos.

Is there an optimum cruising speed. Don't want to be nosey but interested.

I thought of giving up Prosecco, the thought lasted all of two seconds. I went shopping yesterday to get stuff in at home and bought wine instead of milk again

That’s a great question and will be interesting to know. Someone told me, at a wake of all places, they had a 30 footer with twin v8 petrols and that at full chat planing it used roughly as many gallons an hour as knots you were travelling, viz about 20 so about £150 from Southwold to Yarmouth but quicker than a taxi probably!

At lest Prosecco doesn’t go off I got milk today from the supermarket and it was off !!!!

Dunno about that Roy. I opened a bottle of wine the other day which said on the side that it should last a month once opened, it only lasted an hour, I'm taking it back
