Hire Yard Closing On The Thames

Anglo Welsh are closing their River Thames Oxford base from the end of the season. They blame the cost of cancellations, mainly due to flood conditions, affecting the viability of the base.

That's a shame, they've been there a fair time now and will mean a big reduction of Thames hirecraft.

We hired from there in 2021 and found the manager to be truly dreadful during handover and totally unsuited to dealing with people, when our fuel got nicked one night and we ran out this showed itself on our return and I had to call and speak to an area manager to resolve, I would like to say he gave Basil Fawlty a good run for his money but there just wasn't the character or endearing qualities to be able to!

Other than this it was all great
