Mooring Roops Plus Mud Weight

Re:- Ground Tackle, in this case Mudweights, I have always been fastidious in this regard. A carry over I guess from nearly 40 years of boating at sea where if something goes wrong you are not going to gently drift and wake up in the reeds,

Hence, I always used a drop-nose pin on the bow roller to stop the line jumping off. Always used a swivel between line and weight and all shackles were "Seized".GroundTackle.thumb.jpg.db349f2f4b3316175854f40e191e2b0f.jpgstainless-steel-swivel-eye-and-jaw.thumb.jpg.cb219c1ff14cb5cf9f1d2205c74cf512.jpgSeizingWire.thumb.jpg.c8521823ff4bd38edb1af452b1f3c3ad.jpgSeizedShackle.thumb.jpg.89cf331ade705bdacb7bbffbd8e62850.jpg

The use of a No7 (70mm) block was my way of reducing the strain on my various sports damaged back back.
