PAULG
4 more sleeps and we will be back down again on board Adventuring light 3. Weather forecast is looking favourable at the moment fingers crossed. Hopefully the fishing is good, and the river levels and tides allow is to get up to Coltishall, wasn't possible in June due to the tide times and needing the bridge pilot (hire boat) although the boat is only 6' 5" air draft.
Mouldy
We’re heading into spring tides again at the end of this week. Tide times should be good from Saturday, but tides have been very high. We were in Hoveton last Saturday and the boards were showing less than 6ft clearance two hours after high water. With all of the recent rain, current low pressure and continuing unsettled weather, Coltishall may not be possible. If you do get through the bridge, you may struggle to get back if conditions suddenly change. Don’t want to dampen your enthusiasm, but at least there are plenty of other stretches of the northern rivers that will be accessible. Have a good time.
NorfolkNog
Those boats have a narrower beam so stand a better chance than most but as Malcolm says the prospects for Wroxham Bridge are not looking good. The Pilot will always advise but a Plan B would be a good option.
