last minuteish booking on a richardsons broadland lass

Looked to have a bed for someone over 6 foot and although it was on the short side you weren't walled in. Liked the look of siesta moored opposite it on the 1st night though. Good picture windows on broadland lass and plenty of storage but the well wasn't easy on the knees.

Was hoping to get to wroxham or horning to watch the football, re assessed to potter but with time running out decided on the dog @ ludham.

Great food & beer and 2 large groups in from the river made it a good night.

Day 2

Wroxham for lunch , drink in The shed for me , and through to Coltishall. Surprisingly quiet , looked @ the sun & walked up to the village. after looking @ the gourmet deli & pub decided on excellent fish from the chippie as a starter....

Back to the boat and the Tuesday deal @ the Indian takeaway was excellent value , delivered to the boat. Wildlife extravaganza, tiny chicks, giant fish & a hunting owl.

Late drink in the sun for me.

Day 3

Back to wroxham, straight through the bridge and kindly moored in the boatyard by the pilot. Stocked up on duck feed (whats wrong with bread these days) From there a brief visit to salhouse broad & onto south walsham aiming to do the ghost walk @ fairhaven.

Started raining as we got the last mooring by the village walk but was dry by for the walk. Entertaining but twice as long as expected. Afterwards wanted a bit more than gourmet food @ the ship and headed onto the Kings.

Didn't look inviting for sitting in and looked they were closing early. They sealed the deal by delivering us and the meal for 2 back to the car park just b4 the rain came.

Day 4

Round to Womack deciding to go there b4 potter. Best bit of sun in the week. We'd been lucky that most of the rain had been when asleep but never looked like risking sunburn. Sat up top with a beer & duckfeed was too warm to rush round to potter so headed back to stalham stopping @ Howhill after the nature trail had shut.

Managed to get into Sutton Staithe for the 1st time and was well worth wedging ourselves between 2 boats. Steak pie superb. Not long after getting moored 2 boats left , law of sod. Saw someone on star gem we'd had b4 & turned out lived a few streets away from me. Think they'd spent 2 or 3 nites @ the new inn getting moored by gus.

They followed us out in the morning but didn't take the unsignposted turn & followed the boat behind us instead.

All in all 1st time never stopped @ potter , horning & ranworth. 1st time time stopped @ dog, south walsham , fairhaven , salhouse & how hill.
