3 Network signal strength on the Northern broads

Well with just over a week to go till we pick up Broadsman 3 one of our party is fretting over not being able to access the internet while away (turns out she has a couple of pieces of work she needs to get done while we're away). Both my partner and I have 3g wireless net dongles and was just wondering what the 3 network strength is like on the northern broads. Where possible Jane (she who has work to do) will use Wi-Fi hotspots but owing to deadlines and the like may need to use the 3g net dongle, so my question be. Are there any areas where we won't have a cat in hecks chance of picking up a signal and other areas which signal strength shouldn't be an issue?

Sometimes it can be a bit hit & miss, if you are using USB dongles it may be an idea to take a usb extension with you so you can move the dongle to a better location. If you have hardly any phone service in an area then 3G is not going to be any better, you may get it reverting to a slower service however.

Regards

Alan
