Dan
Hi Everyone Just been browsing Ferry's site looking at 2013 holidays and good to see a couple of new smaller boats in "Garnet Emblem" (not too sure on the name of that one??!) and "Turquoise Emblem" Garnet Emblem http://www.ferry-marina.co.uk/review_mi ... &review=1& Turquoise Emblem http://www.ferry-marina.co.uk/review_mi ... &review=1& And a big one too... Mercury Emblem: http://www.ferry-marina.co.uk/review_mi ... &review=1& I find their website a bit hard to use... but wonder why, along with a few other operators they list their boats in alphabetical order. Surely for ease/success of using the site you would want to boats listed in berth size order??? Alphabetical is surely only of use to someone who already has chosen/knows what they want? Look forward to seeing them on the water Dan
MBA Marine
Are they built yet or is one of the hulls still in the mould, outside the Woods dyke workshop?
NonTecky
The hull for the big brother of Ivory emblem 'Mecury' was just in the water late August
Dan
Are they built yet or is one of the hulls still in the mould, outside the Woods dyke workshop? Haven't called in for a while, but sounds likely to be the same ones Dan
loribear
hi dan, ive noticed that they'll all have solar panels on ,& ive seen them on some of the private boats too,is it something that could take off for all boats in the future do you think ? & would there be enough panels to power everything on a boat ? knowing how many gadgets we all use these days. lori
MBA Marine
Solar panels are a great way of keeping the batteries topped up when the boat is not cruising, I made a live aboard 100% self sufficient including a full 240v system, the only problem was that the owner used it like we use a house, running fridge, freezer, tv, lights and computer all the time and on grey days his battery bank couldn't recover from the nights discharge. Shame he couldn't change his habits (and loose the unnecessary freezer) as the system worked well without needing to run the engine to charge batteries. Before anyone states the obvious at the time there was no access to shore power.
