Uploading photos

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I haven't posted for awhile so am having to learn it all again on this lovely new look site.

I have reduced my photo as usual yo 1000 X 750 which I think is 172.2 thingies.

The problem is it keeps rejecting the upload. Can anyone please shed any light.

 Barry

I've put a couple of photos in my posts since the upgrade and that's the message I was getting.

I assumed it was to do with the previous request to not upload photos to the main NBN site to save storage space, and to link to image storage websites instead, which I did do, (successfully) .....

No, I think this must be a glitch in the software Strowy, as there has not been any mention of stopping normal photo uploads, even though we would prefer people to use external hosting like Photobucket or Flickr etc to reduce forum costs. The one downside of external hosting sites of course, is that if you move or delete a picture, then the link on the forum no longer works (as I found last week when I re-organised my Photobucket albums

I haven't uploaded any files to the new website so far (this is the first), and it's saying a maximum of "500k of files" to me ...

aha, the penny has dropped for me at last....  (  I think )  :naughty:

It's still showing me "You can upload up to 500K of files (Max. single file size: 500K)"

I thought the first figure was how much of my "tally" was left.

I now realise that it's just telling me that I can only upload 500k in total per post, whether comprised of one or several files.

I'd wrongly taken it as how much of my total 500 mb allowance was still available to me.
