Fish Finder
Hi Ladies and Gents I have not been around much of late due to battling throat Cancer over Autumn and Winter but Just to let you all know the shop still very much in evidence we have not been open lately due to the above but expect to re open soon. In addition to our tackle aspect we also offer a first class pump out service at reasonable rates including Blue rinse and we're exploring bottled Gas storage and resale. The gift shop next to us is under new management and offers a wide range of products . In all Womack staithe is looking forward to another bustling busy and happy year. If there are any products that you would like to see us stock related to boating (within reason as we are only a VERY small shop) then please feel free to contact us or pop in. Regards Dave

Fish Finder
Hi Everyone Just a swift message to tell everyone that we now have a couple of additional facilities available at Womack staithe We have managed to get in touch with a Calor Bottled gas rep and we will hopefully be selling Butane Propane and Patio gas for boaters, caravanners and locals probably from the beginning of May once the Cage arrives. We have also (due to popular request) added a water point facility at the pump out bay as an addition to the one already installed on the public moorings. Also for kids of all ages we stock a small range of Radio Controlled Power boats Hovercraft Destroyers and Aircraft carriers. these are already proving Very popular. look forward to seeing many of you as you enjoy your time on and around the broads this year. Regards Dave and Shelagh

SueH
Went into Calderdesigns on Womack Staithe when we were up there a couple of weeks ago. We saw some Regatta fleeces that we liked, went away - thought about it and went back (as you do). I then had a thought that it would be nice if they were embroidered with 'Moonlight Shadow'. Back we went again! We were made very welcome, the lass came out and looked at Shadow's name and how it was laid out, taking a photo. Special order was raised, for home delivery. They were received today and we are very impressed. We are now on their system so any time we want anything else embroidered it will be easy peasy. Thoroughly recommended. Fish Finder
Hello All Dave here , not had much time to reply to the number of questions that there are on here regardin womack Staithe so ill answer a few. I am hopefully on the mend after getting throat cancer last year . we have the shop open 7 days a week through the season from around 8:30 ish to 5pm Mon -Sun though depending on patronage from Nov 1st we will probably close the shop but be available throughout the winter on the end of a phone for you hardy souls that want Calor gas and pump outs. plus any anglers that want some stuff. The Gift Shop is under new management by our close friends Martin and Jenny who also run Calder Designs. The gift shop and Calder Designs are totally separate entities to the tackle centre and pump out We also have a new art gallery on the Staithe; "Brush Strokes",run by Norfolk Artist Philip A Smith. Philip has taken on one of the units here. Some of Philips work can be viewed online at www.artweb.com/artists/23205_Philip%20A%20Smith. Philip paints at the gallery and one can commission his artwork if required. We have had a good year getting a lot of repeat business and recommendations from holiday makers, whilst in the process breaking some of our last years records regarding daily and weekly takings. Everything we have in the shop is bought and paid for as we refuse to have trade accounts or bank loans ( we want nothing to do with banks) and we would rather only get in what we can afford rather than owe our suppliers. and its all expanded from the sales we have had.. The Model boats start at 14.95 and go up to £45 for the 1/275 scale Soviet Sovremennyj class destroyer or £49.50 for a the Kiev Class Aircraft carrier. we have a few RC helicopters too which are ok for indoor use.{ As for the moorings for the aircraft carrier models the landlady keeps on takin on more and more boats in the marina so theres no longer any mooring space for em HEHE Pump outs are priced as follows 1 Toilet £12, 2 Toilets £18, and if you have 3 or more loos on board its £24 I use a gallon of Strong Elsan Blue mix in every holding tank and i help each boat in and out of the pump out berth , Water is free if you get a pump out. As for the Valeting unfortunately due to my illness and the facts that my daughters boyfriend who was assisting us is now back up in Yorkshire and Shelagh has had severe respiratory problems we have not been able to do any valeting. One more positive is that we have purchased a day boat (which is in need of repair and is due to be renovated over winter,) we intend this craft to be in the water by the start of next season and out for hire as a picnic boat. (Picnics can be provided if required and we will be forulating a menu choice once the boat is nearer its completion renovation wise.) Once again Thanks to all who have used us here at womack we enjoyed meeting you. and for those who have not yet visited us please feel free to pop in and say hi . Regards Shelagh and Dave
