Seen on the Yare near Norwich recently.

Its been moored near the 24hour moorings at the frostbite sailing club for quite a while now. The owners seem to be slowly converting it into a cabin cruiser. Branden

It looks like a sort off colvic Northerner with a loads of modifications??

It looks like an ex Ship's Lifeboat hull to me.

 

The stepped gunwhale line has been added to the original gunwhale of the lifeboat hull.

 

If you look carefully, you can see the join just under the name under the bow, running parallel to the cockpit gunwhale.

I see your point on the old lifeboat, that may be it.

Reckon she started life as a lifeboat, got converted to a longshore fishing boat and now being converted to a liveaboard.

Time expired ship's lifeboats used to be very popular hull conversions.

 

The "Cachalot" used by the BBC in filming The Big Six was a conversion on a much older clinker lifeboat, but with exactly the same hull lines.
