2014 broads holidays

Hi all I know we not got this season over with yet but was wondering if anyone else, as booked up there 2014 boating holiday yet. like me. Not been on the broads for a holiday for over a decade now, so I booked up for 3 weeks in june next year.

Hi Mr C,  you`re not the only one, i`ve done the same, but for only a week.  I phoned Maffett Cruisers to find out if they were still considering adding a particular new boat to their fleet, and was told they`d already got it, and were currently in the throws of doing a lot of upgrades for the 2014 season. As a result, i booked it straight away. We`ll be on their new boat "Kestrel" for the last full week in June 14.

 

Who have you booked with, and which boat are you hiring?.

Hi there, We haven't even had our holiday on the broads yet this year (only got 7 weeks to go though) but im already thinking about next year & wether we should try for an earlier break in the year , when the days are longer, and try another boatyard - have had a look at a small yard in Loddon & like the look of the older wooden boats.

Hello Carol,

I assume you are talking about Maffett's at Loddon?

You wont go wrong there, most people hiring with them have hired for years and I have not seen a bad report regarding the condition of the boats or the service they provide.

We hired Swallow from Maffetts last May. Excellent boat we had such a good time I tried to book it for two weeks August 2014, but she was already booked. So we have booked two weeks on Maffetts Kingfisher for two weeks instead. Looking forward to it.

We went onboard her last year when Neil and Karen had her out. What a charming little boat she is!

hi all, we have booked broads suncharm for April 2014... I have to say I do like the look of swallow and haven't been south I years. we are in the process of negotiating a deal on a boat. that is based down south and my brother wants to keep her on the Southen rivers..

Hi there Alan, Yes it was Maffets, I tried to take a look at the boatyard last year when we visited Loddon but don't think it was open, I wanted a sneak peek at any boats there..Ill try again this year, mind you ive seen so many good reports about them  on here  that I might just go for it, I like the look of 'merlin',  I just have to persuade John now!!

I've just booked for next year.... at £226 for 5 days boating it seemed a bit of a no brainer!

 

I'm sure lots more expensive trips will follow now I've set the ball rolling!

We have hired Suncharm before. Nice boat, we got great service from Richardsons. It has a diesel boiler that runs the radiators and gives instant hot water.
