trambo
Hi Jill. Looked at the photographs and thought it was a museum not a shop, Fascinating. Fred
Hockham Admiral
Jill, Hi. As a relative newcomer to Norfolk, only been here 34 years, I still can't understand how you get "Stewkey" out of "Stiffkey"!
Hockham Admiral
On a more sensible note, we shall be looking for new light fittings soon. Are they horrendously expensive, please?
ranworthbreeze
Hello Jill, Reclamation these days is big business, there are also TV programmes on the subject. I like to wander around shops like these, antique and old fashioned hardware/tool shops, much to Tan's and my children's distain. trambo
Is Stiffkey as in the Blackpool, "Reverend in a bottle" arcade amusement of the 30s?
ExMemberBobdog
Almost certainly - the rector of Stiffkey (Harold Davidson) was famed for 'rescuing young ladies from sin', but rumour had it that he had ulterior motives, and he was eventually 'defrocked'.
