Unfortunately this is a service which is needed. I as 'unfortunately', as surely this should be one of the services provided as standard by the marina? I would have thought that a daily walk-round would be standard.

My rib sank earlier this year with a brand new outboard on the back, and I only found it when I went down to check on it. Judging by the mud and silt which had settled on the motor, it must have been under at least a week.

Is it so hard to pick up the phone and let me know?? Really not impressed with the marina at the time.

In the case of some of the unattended moorings, fair enough, but if you pay the extra for marina services, this should be one of them IMHO.
