Polly
Hello, Looking in, I see lots of posters I know already and lots I don't. Part owners of Brilliant, a woody, which is to say, custodians of a bit of Broads History and overseer of hole in bank balance! Looking at Brilliant's outboard I wonder why.... She didn't have one in 1929....
MauriceMynah
Unless I'm very much mistaken, The outboard was an invention of the 30s/40s if that helps. Welcome to the forum, and I would love to see Pauline and Phil join you.

JennyMorgan
Looking at Brilliant's outboard I wonder why.... She didn't have one in 1929.... She didn't have one in the Three Rivers Race either. That was a long paddle!

Polly
True, I didn't vote to remove it for 3RR and it was a very long paddle from St Benets to Horning... But you can go off outboards...

MauriceMynah
You get NAILED to the perch? You're lucky. We were so poor we had to be stuck to our perch with second hand glue salvaged from old worn out shoes...
